Welcome

You are invited to browse through these images of people that I have encountered during my travels abroad. I have been especially captivated by the cultural diversity and the vibrant colors of the Indian subcontinent, the blessed land of my birth and childhood, and by the serenity of Buddhist Southeast Asia.

My passion is to travel to remote areas photographing ethnic people in their own environments. I am constantly drawn to “make contact” with them through the lens of my camera. I attempt to capture their warmth, their expressions of happiness and pain, and the multitude of stories of their own experiences via their expressions of face and eyes. Most of these images are either close-up of indigenous people’s faces or they depict them engaged in the various activities of their everyday life. I hope you can share in that sense of “contact” while browsing through these images.

All Proceeds to Charity

Prints of all digital images in these portfolios and boxes of cards of certain images are for sale. All proceeds will be for the benefit of St. Joseph’s Orphanage in Tamil Nadu, South India—a wonderfully effective organization that is committed to helping the poor and destitute.

I have been privileged to personally visit this orphanage several times and I have been supporting and fund raising for them for many years now. Please click here to learn more about St. Joseph’s Orphanage and their related activities.
